Thailand to impose 15% tax on capital gains

The Ministry  of Finance in Thailand said a draft bill had been passed by the Council of State and it moves one step to enacting taxes on cryptocurrencies. The draft bill by the government proposes a withholding tax of 15% on capital gains. The proposed regulations are aimed at protecting investors who otherwise may fall victim to fraudulent scams, as digital currencies are not legally accepted in Thailand.
