Well known for its beautiful hills and waterfalls scenery, ethnic Miao minority people’s dancing and singing performances as well as ethnic cuisine, Southwest China’s Guizhou province has been a favorite tourist destination for decades, but there is more now. In last five years, Guizhou province has become China’s capital of big data, there are over 9,000 data companies in the province. Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province will be hosting its annual China International Big Data Industry Expo from May 26th to 29th, 2018. Over 400 companies will be attending to discuss latest developments of blockchain technology, social management, industrial innovation, artificial intelligence, and smart city technology, etc.
I have visited Guiyang, Guizhou Province over ten times in last five years, the developments in the cities are very impressive. I will be visiting the city of Guiyang in early June and will be reporting there again. BTW, I was graduated from Guizhou University in 1986. The university has over 50, 000 students.
