Exciting week in New York City for blockchain technology

It is a very exciting week for blockchain technology as over 7,000 attendees gather in New York City for the 4th annual blockchain technology summit hosted by CoinDesk. Consensus 2018 will feature over 250 of the top experts in blockchain and cryptocurrency space. I can’t wait to listen to the updates and learn more about new services/coins being launched this week. New York City also just announced it will launch a blockchain center to heavily promote blockchain to its constituents.

The previous week brought back a lot of new breakthroughs in blockchain business such as:

HSBC performs first trade finance transaction using blockchain technology.

-South Korea top watchdog (FSC) joins probe into cryptocurrency exchanges.

-47% of South Africans plan to invest in cryptocurrencies.

-2nd largest Bitcoin mining hardware company in China, Canaan Creative, to list IPO on Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

-Thailand creates tough cryptocurrency laws including fines and jail times to try to regulate ICO and crypto transactions.
