Chinese authority prosecutes alleged $2 billion OneCoin scheme


Recently the Zhuzhou County Procuratorate of Hunan Province China prosecuted the last four suspects involved in the third batch of the “3.15” Weika Coin (the chinese name for OneCoin) case supervised by the Ministry of Public Security. According to reports, the case lasted for two years. The Zhuzhou County Procuratorate examined and prosecuted 106 people, filed a public prosecution of 98 people, and recovered nearly 1.7 billion yuan RMB (approx. $266 million USD)of funds involved in the case. This was the largest number of people involved in the investigation and prosecution since the establishment of the County Procuratorate and the largest amount of economic loss recovered.
